The NBK Bangor has been a long term customer of Control Contractors, Inc. We have installed several large systems based on LonWorks controller technology in the recent past. The forward thinking personnel at the base wanted their EMCS system to do more. Based upon experience gained on some smaller projects at the NBK Keyport they decided to upgrade portions of their existing EMCS system to the latest Niagara AX technology. This included much needed upgrade to their existing Operation Center and integration of multiple control systems at multiple NBK sites.

Control Contractors, Inc. was awarded this $1.5 million control systems upgrade project based upon the technical merit of our proposal, our experienced project team and other factors.

Scope of work includes developing a “state of the art” Operator’s Facility including multiple servers hosting various dissimilar control systems, multiple large screen flat panel monitors, integration of multiple interoperable protocols and multiple industrial protocols. All of this data will be displayed on custom graphical representations so that the system operators and facility managers can both operate the system effectively and make informed decisions regarding energy usage and building operation issues.
